Senior specialist in quantum computing and/or HPC

CTIC Technology Centre (CTIC) is a private non-profit Research and Technology Organization (RTO), specialized in data technologies and artificial intelligence, with a unique infrastructure (ISAAC/QUTE), the largest quantum computing emulation/simulation platform (38 qubits) in Spain.

We are entering a period of very high growth, with more than 12 Horizon Europe projects underway and many other R&D and innovation projects for companies.

As part of the development and growth of our quantum computing activities, we are looking for a Senior Specialist in Quantum Computing and/or HPC, with the following profile:

Technical knowledge and skills required:

• University degree in scientific-technical disciplines.
• Experience in:
  • Projects in one of the following technology areas: quantum, quantum computing or HPC.
  • Scientific and/or professional networks in the above fields.
  • Preparation of R&D or innovation proposals.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Personal skills required:

• Leadership and decision making
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiation skills.
• Flexibility to work and adapt to changing and innovative contexts
• High motivation and ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving context.
• Passion for learning and new challenges.
• Proactive in seeking solutions

• Network of contacts in the technological fields of interest.

Technical knowledge and skills required

• Preferably a scientific-technical degree (e.g. computer science, telecommunications).
• Fluency in programming language C# and Unity
• Knowledge in web development (Three.js, WebXR)
• Knowledge in immersive technologies (VR/AR/MR) and mobile development (Android)
• High level of English

• Ability to present and intervene in demonstrations.

Other requirements to be valued

• Fluency in languages or frameworks such as C++, Python, Unreal Engine will be an asset.
• Experience in iOS mobile development and publishing.
• Experience with asset generation stack (3D modelling, texturing, animation...).
• Experience in R+D+i projects.
• Experience in international projects.
• Experience in client projects.
• English certificate of at least C1 level is a plus.
• Doctorate degree.

• Assessable knowledge of machine learning and data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of Python and/or R programming languages.
• High level of English (mainly in reading comprehension and writing).

Other requirements to be considered

• Specialised knowledge in deep learning, natural language processing, Big Data, computer vision and optimisation systems is an asset. 
• Knowledge in SQL and noSQL would be an asset.
• Experience in R&D and innovation projects.
• Experience in international projects.
• Experience in customer projects.
• English certificate of at least C1 level is desirable.
• PhD degree.
