Eva Castaño
Director of planning and corporate development

Computing Engineer by University of Oviedo (1999), and Master on Internet Applications Development (2002), with more than 15 years of professional experience in the field of Information and Communication Technologies, linked to business and institutions. In addition to technical skills, she has complementary skills in areas linked to business management: innovation, economic management, human resources, quality systems, environment, equal opportunities (gender), communication and marketing, etc.

In 2000, she joins Oviedo’s Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, as Head of the Computing Department, leading development of working methodologies and management tools for business advice-and-promotion in several fields (ITC, entrepreneurship, international trade), and also participates in the New Technologies Commission within the Spanish High Council of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, and in several European Projects development, focused in business support.

In 2004 she joins CTIC Technology Center, as Manager for the Digital Maturity And Strategic Consultancy Unit, working on promotion and support of digital maturity and pre-innovation skills and process on SMEs and business agents, leading at present time a 10-professional team. In her field of professional activity within CTIC, she has coordinated the design and implementation of multiple technological business-accompanying programs, such as the Asturian SAT Center Network, the ICT Innovation Plan for Self-Employed and the Program for Approaching Social Economy Companies to ICT; she has collaborated on the development of e-Asturias 2012 Strategy; she has managed transference processes and strategy consultancy processes addressed to other geographical contexts (Central America, Angola, Romania, ….); and she has participated in several articles and publications for technology divulgation purposes.
