Logotipo DIGICOM

DIGICOM is a program promoted by the Unión de Comerciantes del Principado de Asturias, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Gijón, in which CTIC participates as a technology partner to support the digitalization of local commerce.

Digital transformation of proximity commerce

Since its launch in 2020, DIGICOM has been working to help businesses adapt to an environment marked by the digitization of consumer habits, global competition and evolving customer expectations.

The program's objective is to improve the competitiveness of proximity commerce, supporting businesses in incorporating digital tools and improving their management.

Practical and results-oriented accompaniment

The program combines awareness-raising actions with a practical approach based on:

  • Diagnosis of the digital situation of each business
  • Trainings of accompaniment in small groups
  • Individualized advice
  • Training applied to the business

This model allows working on key aspects such as digital presence, marketing, customer relations or the use of data for decision-making.

A model focused on real impact

The evolution of the program has enabled it to move towards a more results-oriented approach, prioritizing the impact on the most committed businesses, while maintaining a broad scope over the sector as a whole.

This approach facilitates the generation of success stories and best practices, which serve as a reference for other businesses and reinforce the program's demonstrator effect.

The role of CTIC

CTIC acts as a technological partner of the project, contributing its experience in the digital transformation of SMEs, both in the methodological design and in the execution of support, training and knowledge generation actions.

Impact on the territory

DIGICOM is consolidated as a reference initiative in Gijón for the modernization of local commerce, contributing to:

  • The improvement of the competitiveness of local commerce
  • The professionalization of commercial management
  • The adaptation to new consumer habits
  • The economic development of the territory
