The Cervera ENERISLA network aims to develop the technological capabilities necessary to initiate the implementation of isolated 100% renewable microgrids and, taking advantage of the development of the energy system as well as the ambitious policies on climate change already undertaken by many Autonomous Communities, to bring to the Spanish electricity market companies both the knowledge and the new solutions that allow them to improve their competitiveness in this new energy landscape.

This concept requires the application of new developments in renewable generation and storage that, together with the development of enabling technologies and services for the improvement of demand management and energy efficiency, allow the supply of clean energy in a reliable and cost-effective way to isolated grids that include urban, commercial and industrial centers.

In order to achieve this goal, the Cervera ENERISLA network is made up of four leading technology centers nationwide. This has been perceived from the outset by the group as an opportunity to interact in the areas of greatest expertise of each partner to create solutions of greater added value that cover the entire value chain in the implementation of a microgrid. Thus, CIRCE and TECNALIA are renowned experts in the generation of renewable energies, as well as in the control and management of electrical microgrids. CIDETEC, on the other hand, is the partner in charge of the development and improvement of storage systems, being one of the pioneering Spanish technology centers in this technology. Finally, CTIC has extensive experience in information and communication technologies (ICT), web of things and artificial intelligence for its application, among others, to the energy field.

It is important to mention that, although these are the highlights of each center, the participation of all the members in each of the pillars will be fundamental for the achievement of ENERISLA's global objective. This objective will be achieved through technological development and knowledge transfer to companies and other relevant actors in the implementation of these energy systems.

Partners

These partners become Cervera Centers of Excellence in these technologies, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation through the CDTI and the European Union through the "Next Generation EU" Funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain.
